How do I download files?
When you click on a file to download it, your internet browser will usually ask you whether you want to Open the file from its current location or Save it to your computer. Save the file to a location on your computer so you can run the update when you're ready; you may choose any location you wish.

However, make sure that you remember where you put the downloaded file, because you will need to run the update program from that location. Many people save all update programs in a folder called Downloads or My Downloads. Or, you can place it in your MPWin folder (typically in C:\Program Files\MPWin).

If you download a file ending with ".doc", it is a Microsoft Word document. These documents explain how to perform various operations. You can place them anywhere you wish on your computer and open them with Word. You might want to place them in My Documents.

Some of the files with the ending ".exe" have been compressed with WinZip. WinZip is a utility that you can download from the internet. You can, however, download and install WinZipped files even if you do not have a copy of WinZip.

What if I don't have WinZip?
For your convenience, most files you will download from MasterPlan have been made self-extracting, and therefore you will not need WinZip to open them. If you would like a copy of WinZip, visit their website and download a demo. This program also allows users to compress any type of file, and has the ability to make self-extracting files they can distribute to those without WinZip.

How do I get the latest versions of help, tutorial, and manual between program updates?
